Mediatek using TSMC ultra low power technology Tapping the Internet of things and wearable market

TSMC announced jointly with mediatek, both sides of the future sustainable use TSMC ultra-low power consumption technology platform, to develop support iot and wearable device of innovative products.

Mediatek and TSMC using this technical platform, in January of this year to launch its first product MT2523 series, using TSMC 55 nanometer ultra low power technology watches are specially designed for sports and fitness with wisdom design solutions, is a highly integrated GPS, the world's first dual-mode low-power MIPI bluetooth and support high resolution display screen system package (SiP) chip solutions.

TSMC Jin Pingzhong business development vice President pointed out that TSMC provides 55 nanometer ultra low power consumption process, 40 nanometer ultra low power consumption process, 28 nm highly efficient thin potent version of the process and 16 nm FinFET potent version of the process, apply to all kinds of energy-saving benefit of smart iot and wearable products.
