On August 16th morning news, semiconductor market research firm ICInsights announced in the first half of 2016 the top 20 largest semiconductor (including integrated circuits, optoelectronic devices, sensors and a discrete device) sales rankings. Top 20 largest semiconductor company exclusive eight in the United States, Japan, Europe, China Taiwan three each, South Korea two, one in Singapore.

In the first half of 2016, there are 13 semiconductor company sales of more than $3 billion, and the top 20 threshold of $1.86 billion. Mediatek ranked 11th with $3.93 billion, up 2 compared to the same period last year. ICInsights mediatek's annual sales are expected to reach $8.8 billion.

China's largest semiconductor company huawei haisi not on the list. ICInsights haisi is expected in the first half of the sales of $1.71 billion.

China's Taiwan three listed companies in addition to mediatek, there are two fabs (rank 3) TSMC and umc (ranked 29th).
